Hi. I’m Barbara Schmitz Garriel. I write fiction and non-fiction books and songs for elementary and middle-school readers.  I also visit schools and libraries and talk to students about being a writer.  I also give writing workshops to students to help them become better writers. On this website I’ll share information about my books and the author programs I offer.  I’ll also try to answer some of the questions some of you have asked about me and about writing.
